In honor of American Heart Month this February, we're proud to welcome home a compassionate patient advocate and integral member of our Structural Heart team, Nurse Navigator Robin Wells, RN, BSN! ✨👏
Robin says a significant turning point in her family’s lives, and a reason she returned home to Norman Regional, was when her husband had a heart attack. Robin rushed him to the Norman Regional ER. She says she felt like God put her in the right place when she chose to come home to Norman Regional’s cardiology department. Her heart care knowledge has improved her ability to care for her husband, who she says is now doing just fine!
Robin guides patients through their structural heart journeys, making a big impact on their lives.
“The majority of patients that are referred to me are of the elderly demographic,” said Robin. “When coming to see me for the first time, they could be receiving a diagnosis that can be difficult to process and cope with, including information we share leading up to surgery. I hope to be an advocate for them as they prepare to make difficult decisions.”
As we welcome Robin back to Norman Regional, we invite you to join us in celebrating the heart care team and Robin's vital role within it. Welcome home Robin and Happy Heart Month! 💖

🚨Attention everyone who will be visiting our Porter campus.🚨The City of Norman has started construction to improve the intersection of Porter Avenue and Johnson Street, which is the main intersection for many of our patients and healers entering Norman Regional Hospital.
Right now, the sidewalks around the Porter and Johnson intersection are closed. On Thursday, Feb. 22 the Johnson Street entrance into Norman Regional Hospital will completely close for four days. At this time driving on Johnson into the Porter campus will be blocked. During this time, Rich Street and Findlay Avenue will provide access to the South Entrance.
We appreciate your patience!
